## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council has recently completed the procurement process for the Community Mental Health Fund, aimed at providing support and mental health services for children, young people, and the wider community in Edinburgh. The procurement, classified under the services category, was initiated through a limited method, specifically an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The process involved two main lots: Lot 1 focuses on locality provisions while Lot 2 addresses city-wide support for three areas of adversity. Key dates include the award notices issued in October 2020 and 2021, with the procurement anticipated to last up to five years, subject to Scottish Government funding availability.

This tender presents a unique opportunity for businesses that specialise in mental health services, particularly those catering to children and young people aged 5-24, including care-experienced individuals. Potential bidders, especially small to medium enterprises (SMEs), can offer collaborated services that are community-focused, catering to specific needs such as those of BAME communities and LGBTQ+ individuals. Engaging in this procurement could not only enhance service delivery in Edinburgh but also significantly contribute to the growth and sustainability of businesses aligned with mental health support and community well-being initiatives.
