## Summary

The procurement process involves the awarding of contracts by Scottish Enterprise for the project titled "Award of Improving Access to Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure - Phase 2 - Challenge 1". The main industry category is services, and the location is in Scotland, specifically under the jurisdiction of various Scottish government agencies. The procurement stage is currently at the award phase, with key dates indicating the tender period starting from 7 June 2021 and extending until the final completion on 28 March 2022. Each of the anticipated four Phase 2 contracts will be valued at up to £150,000, inclusive of VAT.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in innovation, particularly in electric vehicle technologies and infrastructure development. Companies specialising in research and development, as well as those with expertise in prototype development and field-testing, would be well-suited to compete for these contracts. With a focus on advancing electric vehicle charging solutions, businesses in the transportation technology sector, engineering services, and sustainable energy solutions may find the tender to be aligned with their growth objectives.

## Notice

This is Phase 2 of a 2-phase competition. At this stage contracts will be let for Phase 2 only.Phase 1 involved research and development (R&D) contracts being awarded to explore the challenges and to develop and demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of solutions to them. Phase 2 will involve R&D contracts being awarded to businesses chosen from the successful Phase 1 applicants, to develop a prototype and undertake field-testing in Scotland. It is anticipated that four Phase 2 contracts of up to PS150,000 (Inc. VAT) each will be awarded across both lots for a maximum of 9.5 months with a completion date of 28 March 2022. The assessors will consider fair market value in making their evaluation. There may be circumstances where additional funding becomes available at a later stage. In this event, SE reserves the right to offer contracts under the standard terms and conditions subsequent to the original award (see exemplar contract at Document SBRI 007).
