## Summary

The Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is initiating a procurement process for "Track Fastening and Support Assemblies," aimed at maintaining the Glasgow Subway system. This tender falls under the "utilities" industry category and is currently in the planning stage. The total estimated value of this contract is £3,500,000, with a potential contract duration of up to 8 years. Interested suppliers are invited to engage in market consultations, with initial communications expected to commence by 12 July 2021. The delivery location is primarily Broomloan Depot in Glasgow, although other locations within the UK may be included.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in the manufacturing and supply of rail fastening components, particularly those offering rail pads. Companies proficient in infrastructure support products and looking to enter long-term frameworks with public entities would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. Collaborating with SPT not only offers a substantial financial opportunity but also the potential for future engagements, as other public bodies may benefit from the awarded terms over the contract period.
