Lot 1

Carbon capture and storage (CCS) involves capturing carbon dioxide (CO2), transporting and then storing or burying it in a suitable deep, underground location, preventing CO2 from entering the atmosphere. CCS is a key technology for tackling climate change and is essential to enable the UK to meet the Committee on Climate Change target of net-zero emissions by 2050. Beyond this, CCS offers multiple beneficial opportunities, delivering economic growth and regional prosperity. In Scotland CCS is recognized as a necessity to meet 2045 Net Zero targets and Scotland has a very substantial capacity in geological formations beneath its surrounding seabed to permanently store carbon dioxide and reduce emissions that cause climate change. We are looking for a team with knowledge of the regulatory, commercial and technical aspects CCS sector offshore infrastructure sector, a demonstrated understanding of Crown Estate Scotland and our legal obligations to deliver value, as well as expertise in property valuation to assist in a market analysis of the sector in Scotland.

Options: We also require a detailed schedule of roles and rates of work for each phase of the project aligned to a Rate Card, to ensure parity with the rates described as part of this bid process for any related (additional or supplementary) work which may be required within a 1 month period.
