## Summary

The Scottish Government is leading a procurement process titled "The Views and Experiences of Child and Adult Victims and Witnesses in Domestic Abuse Court Cases" aimed at commissioning a study on the experiences of children and young people as victims and witnesses in domestic abuse cases. This contract, which falls under the service category with an estimated value of £64,885, has recently been completed following an open procurement method. The study's findings are expected to meet a statutory reporting obligation resulting from the Domestic Abuse Act (2018), with a deadline for reporting set for April 2022. The process originated on July 26, 2021, and was conducted through an open procedure, involving multiple organisations, including Edinburgh Innovations Limited as the awardee.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in social research, particularly those experienced in analytical services relating to domestic abuse and children's rights. Companies with expertise in legal and social frameworks will be well-positioned to contribute to this essential study, which not only addresses statutory requirements but also seeks to highlight the complex experiences of vulnerable populations. Businesses that can showcase a strong understanding of victim support, public services, and the legal implications of domestic abuse will stand to benefit from this contract as new avenues for growth and collaboration emerge in response to the findings.
