## Summary

The Glasgow City Council is initiating a procurement process titled "Repairs and Maintenance for Heavy Vehicles" aimed at appointing a single supplier to deliver preventative maintenance and repair services for an ageing fleet of heavy vehicles. This tender falls within the services industry category and will take place in Glasgow, UK. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a start date for the services set for 1st April 2022. Key documentation for this tender, including a list of proposed vehicles, is available, and the council is preparing for future notices which are expected to be published by 1st November 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly those with experience in heavy vehicles. Companies that focus on the service and repair of refuse collection vehicles, articulated tractor units, and similar vehicles would be well-suited to compete. Additionally, those capable of innovating with alternative fuel technologies—such as diesel, electric, and hydrogen—will likely find this tender particularly relevant. Businesses interested in participating must register with Glasgow City's Dynamic Purchasing System to access further tender documentation and details.
