## Summary

The University of Strathclyde is initiating a tender process to identify a delivery partner for its Business School MBA Centre in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The procurement is currently in the planning stage and aims to ascertain interest for establishing the centre to facilitate the delivery of the University’s MBA Programme. Interested parties should note that expressions of interest must be submitted by 23rd July 2021, with further communication anticipated by 1st October 2021. This procurement relates to the education sector and is based in Glasgow, UK, with a focus on delivering services in KSA.

This opportunity presents a significant avenue for growth for organisations within the education sector, particularly those with experience in managing higher education programmes or operating educational establishments. Businesses that understand the regulatory framework necessary to open and operate educational centres in KSA will be particularly well-suited for this tender. The delivery partner will have responsibilities that include providing facilities, recruiting staff, and administering financial operations for the MBA programme, thus creating a dynamic platform for expansion in the higher education market.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

Th The University of Strathclyde's Business School (SBS) is currently considering opening a Centre in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to deliver the University of Strathclyde's MBA (the Programme). The triple accredited (AMBA, EQUIS, AACSB) Programme will be developed and delivered by Strathclyde Business School academics. Students who successfully complete the programme will receive a University of Strathclyde degree. In return for a percentage of the programme fee, the delivery partner will - with the support and direction of Strathclyde Business School Glasgow campus staff - administer the programme locally. Primary responsibilities include the provision of suitable facilities from which to operate and staff to recruit and market the programme. The partner will also financially administer the programme including the collection of tuition fees and provide local pastoral and learning support to the students. This centre will assist SBS in the local delivery of the MBA programme, initially in Riyadh, but the potential exists for supporting delivery of other postgraduate and executive education programmes and from further regional centres within KSA in the future. To assist in a market scoping exercise, SBS would like to invite expressions of interest from organisations or individuals who are based in KSA and could see themselves as a suitable partner to deliver this initiative. Experience of managing higher education programmes, managing the operations of an educational establishment/ centre or familiarity of how international academic centre operation is managed is essential. It is desirable that the partner has a good understanding of the educational regulatory landscape in country and the Government approvals and licenses that will be required to allow the centre to open and operate.. Please refer to information contained within the short description section of this notice and note that the publication of this notice does not imply that any resulting contract will be subject to obligations of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015
