### Lot Information

Lot 1

A slope failure has occurred along an approximately 15m long section of the embankment supporting the A886 trunk road, to the south-west of Strachur in Argyll. The approximate extent of the slope failure is shown on Drawing No.141011/9202 with some materials having slipped all the way down to the watercourse at the toe, some 25m lower than the level of the road at the crest. The aim of the project is to remediate the failed section of the slope and support the A886 road carriageway by constructing and installing a retention system which is to be founded on bedrock.

Options: Any Variant Bid which, may or may not offer Value Added Service, the Tenderer wishes to submit should clearly be identified as such and be submitted in addition to a Tender response which fully complies with Argyll and Bute Council's requirements as described in this Tender. PLEASE NOTE: VARIANT BIDS WILL ONLY BE ASSESSED IF THE BIDDER REACHES PREFERRED BIDDER STATUS.
