## Summary

The Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is currently engaged in a public procurement process for the "Supply of Track Fastenings and Support Assemblies" in Glasgow, UK. The procurement method is an open procedure, aimed at securing goods related to the maintenance of the Glasgow Subway, which operates subsurface over approximately 21km of track. This tender process, which is under the Award stage, concluded on 22 September 2021, having an estimated contract value of £1,250,000 with a potential duration of up to 8 years.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialised in railway infrastructure and components manufacturing. Companies with expertise in supplying similar goods, such as rail pads and fastening systems, will be especially well-positioned to compete. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with relevant certifications, like ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, may find this tender advantageous as they can demonstrate their capability to meet SPT’s requirements for quality and reliability. Engaging in this procurement could facilitate growth through long-term contractual agreements within the transport utilities sector.
