## Summary

The Common Services Agency, also known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), has recently completed a procurement process for "Workforce Specialist Services" targeted at the health and social care sectors in Edinburgh, UK. The tender was characterised by a limited procurement method, with a decision made without prior publication of a call for competition, based on the belief that there was only one suitable provider. The contract was awarded on 6th September 2021, with a total value of £1,300,000 and an initial duration of ten months, potentially extendable for an additional 24 months.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in mental health support and addiction services, particularly those experienced in providing confidential assessment and treatment for healthcare professionals. Companies with a background in delivering multi-professional team-based services, especially those equipped to manage the unique challenges faced by regulated practitioners, would be particularly well-suited to engage in this type of tender. The focus on a confidential approach to mental health issues in the workforce also highlights a growing demand for innovative and supportive solutions within the healthcare sector.
