## Summary

The Museums Galleries Scotland is seeking contractors for the "Digital Literacy Leadership Training Programme," aimed at enhancing digital skills in Scotland's heritage sector. The tender is currently in the active phase, with a submission deadline of 15 October 2021. The programme, which falls under the services category, highlights a significant investment of £37,500 and is located in Edinburgh, UK. This open procurement opportunity aims to engage organisations in delivering a comprehensive 18-month training programme that will include an impact assessment upon completion.

This tender presents a prime opportunity for businesses specialising in digital training and development, particularly those experienced in providing services to the cultural and heritage sectors. Companies that can demonstrate a strong track record in fostering digital leadership within diverse organisations and are capable of tailoring programmes to meet varying needs would be ideal candidates. The programme's innovative approach, focused on collaboration and best practice sharing, further opens avenues for small to medium enterprises in the training sector to expand their clientele within Scotland’s museums and galleries.

## Notice

In 2012, the Scottish Government tasked MGS with launching a National Strategy for Scotland's museums and galleries, which aimed to unite the sector in working towards a more sustainable future. Since launching the National Strategy, three corresponding delivery plans have been published. The latest plan, launched in March 2020, was developed in collaboration with the sector and sets out four areas of strategic focus, one of which is increasing digital capacity. In response to this need, MGS seeks to work with a contractor in delivering an 18-month digital skills-based training programme, including an impact assessment at the end of the course. The programme will allow sectoral organisational leaders to effectively appraise their current digital position, whilst confidently and positively driving forward their digital vision through their organisation and the wider heritage sector.
