## Summary

The Edinburgh Innovation Park Hub Development Company is currently in the award stage of the procurement process for the "Innovation Hub and Park – Commercial Advisor" contract. This initiative takes place in Musselburgh, Scotland, and is part of the education sector, aiming to leverage a GBP30 million City Deal funding secured for developing a cutting-edge Innovation Hub at the Edinburgh Innovation Park. The contract has an active status as of December 7, 2021, and is being underscored by CAM-SCI Knowledge Economy Development Ltd, who has been engaged in the project since its inception in 2015. The procurement method employed was limited, without prior publication of a call for competition, citing the unique expertise required for the project.

This procurement presents substantial growth opportunities for SMEs specialising in consultancy, infrastructure development, and innovation sector support services, particularly in areas such as technology and food and drink. Firms that can demonstrate expertise in delivering commercial innovation hubs, including operational planning, market strategy, and risk management, would be especially well-suited to participate in future tenders associated with this development. The Innovation Hub aims to foster a vibrant ecosystem for businesses engaged in innovation, drawing on the extensive regional expertise available and establishing itself as a national resource for sector growth.
