## Summary

Crown Estate Scotland has initiated a procurement process for a consultancy to produce a report on opportunities within the Offshore Wind sector, focusing on Innovation and the Targeted Oil and Gas Decarbonisation (INTOG). This tender, titled "Report on Offshore Wind sector opportunities with regard to Innovation and Targeted Oil and Gas Decarbonisation (INTOG)," is currently in the active stage. The final report is due by 28 January 2022. Located in Edinburgh, the buyer is seeking responses through an open procurement method, with the tender period closing on 19 October 2021.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for consultancy firms specialising in renewable energy and decarbonisation strategies. Companies with expertise in offshore wind, particularly those that can demonstrate innovative approaches to integrating oil and gas electrification projects, would be well-positioned to compete. Smaller enterprises and SMEs with relevant technical qualifications are encouraged to participate, as the high demand for innovative solutions presents a chance for business growth in a rapidly evolving industry.

## Notice

Crown Estate Scotland is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced consultancy to carry out the study and deliver their final report by 28 January 2022. The report should cover the Offshore Wind sector's opportunities with regard to Innovation and Targeted Oil and Gas Decarbonisation (INTOG) and explain the role Offshore Wind can have in delivering a Just Transition and Net Zero targets in the United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS). Please note that this work is focused on the Targeted Oil and Gas aspects of INTOG. Ultimately, the report will be used to promote the INTOG opportunity.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The purpose of the study is to provide a review of the scale and nature of the opportunity for the offshore wind sector in Scotland associated with the electrification of O&G production in the UKCS, and to clearly communicate the benefits including: - the nature of potential benefits for the offshore wind industry (including supply chain) as a result of the deployment of electrification projects and how these benefits can be maximised; - how can the electrification of oil and gas production contribute to the role of offshore wind in delivering a Just Transition; - how can electrification projects enhance the attractiveness of the offshore wind sector to the oil and gas sector, stimulating increased interest and investment; and - impact on grid availability and connection costs for offshore wind projects of platform electrification.
