## Summary

The Scottish Government is conducting a tender for a project titled "Analysis on the impact of future UK FTA scenarios on Scotland's Agricultural, Food and Drink Sector." This procurement, categorised under services, is based in Glasgow, UK, and is currently in the award stage, having been completed on 2nd December 2021. The open procurement method was employed, allowing a wide range of suppliers to submit bids. The contract value is £88,685, and businesses that submitted bids were primarily from outside the EU, with a deadline for submissions having passed on 27th October 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in agricultural and food analysis, trade negotiations, and economic forecasting. Companies with expertise in modelling the impacts of free trade agreements, particularly those focused on sectors such as beef, dairy, and food processing, would be well-suited to compete. The results of this analysis could position suppliers as key contributors to Scotland’s strategy in navigating future trade agreements and enhancing the region's agricultural and food sectors.

## Notice

Having already signed a free trade agreement with Japan, the UK Government has announced its priority to launch negotiations with the USA, Canada, India, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand.
