## Summary

The Glasgow City Council has completed the procurement process for the project titled "South West City Extension St Andrews Drive," which focuses on creating a bi-directional segregated cycle route along St Andrews Drive in Glasgow. This project falls within the works category and was conducted using a selective procurement method under the restricted procedure. Significant milestones include the contract being awarded on 22nd September 2021, with a total value of £591,067 and being carried out by J H Civil Engineering Ltd. The project aims to enhance public spaces and transport links in the area, with improvements scheduled for completion along the route between Shields Road and Pollok Park.

This tender presents lucrative opportunities for businesses in the civil engineering and construction sectors, particularly those that specialise in infrastructure projects, traffic management, and public works enhancements. Companies with experience in cycling infrastructure, urban transport systems, and related civil services would be well-positioned to compete in future tenders of a similar nature, given the growing emphasis on sustainable transport solutions and public space improvements. The involvement of SMEs, as demonstrated by three bids from smaller enterprises in this process, indicates a viable landscape for diverse suppliers looking to expand their operations within local government contracts.
