This construction project comprises the alteration and upgrading of existing fire stopping works and associated builder-works within the top floor/attic areas of the student residence blocks at Queen Margaret University campus. The scope of the work includes the careful opening up of the internal building fabric, including wall, floor and ceiling finishes, to expose the existing fire stopping and M&E service ways including ventilation, electrical, heating and plumbing routes that penetrate compartment and fire separating walls, to upgrade fire stopping elements and replace finishes and make good decoration. This may include temporary isolation of services to carry out the works safely.
