## Summary

The procurement process for the 'Ice Cream Licences 2022' is being conducted by Historic Environment Scotland, based in Edinburgh. This open tender invites suppliers to provide mobile ice-cream services at key tourist locations including Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, and Holyrood Park. The procurement process is currently in the award stage, with contracts having been signed on 26th January 2022. The tender originally opened for submissions on 12th October 2021, with a closing date for responses on 11th November 2021. The goods being procured are primarily related to food and beverage services within the built heritage and tourism industry.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the food and beverage sector, particularly those that can supply high-quality, locally sourced products. Businesses specialising in dairy ice creams, bottled beverages, and confectionery suitable for dietary requirements will find this procurement especially relevant. Engaging with Historic Environment Scotland not only allows suppliers to serve prominent tourist sites but also enhances their visibility in a competitive market catering to local and international visitors.
