## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is in the early planning stages for a new contract titled "Aids for Daily Living Goods & Services Contract". This planned procurement falls within the general public services category and aims to merge the Aids for Daily Living Equipment Supply and Servicing & Maintenance Contracts, which are currently extended until 31 May 2022. The process will explore options such as utilising a national framework agreement or an open competitive tender. Interested parties must express their interest by 12 noon on 19 November 2021 to Shane Newell via the provided contact email.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in the supply of aid equipment and services, particularly those that can manage comprehensive deliveries across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Companies specialising in healthcare supplies, maintenance services, and adaptations for individuals with disabilities are well-suited to compete for this contract, which could involve the provision of up to 80,000 items of equipment annually, ensuring vital support to the community's vulnerable groups.

## Notice

The Council is currently examining options in terms of "route to market" which will likely be either 1. utilising an existing national framework agreement or 2. undertaking an open procedure competitive tender process. The Council is seeking to appoint a single organisation or consortium which have the capacity and infrastructure to deliver the entire portfolio of goods and services in the required geographical area, and the purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to assess the number of suppliers in the market which fit that criteria and would be interested in tendering.
