Crown Estate Scotland is seeking to appoint an experienced children and young people's participation specialist to: - Establish a CYP forum including recruitment of participants (encouraging those from under-represented groups e.g. disabled people, people of colour) and developing appropriate governance arrangements and documentation including Terms of Reference. - Manage all personal data (as data controller) and most contact with CYP Forum members in line with legal requirements and best practice, specifically but not exclusively in relation to data privacy and safeguarding. - Provide a secretariat service to the Forum working on basis of one meeting every two months. This will include arranging meetings (online / in person / hybrid), drafting minutes, maintaining an action tracker, etc.,). - Support Crown Estate Scotland employees in liaising between the Forum and other groups and committees including Crown Estate Scotland's Board. - Facilitate Forum engagement in specific projects. For example, if Crown Estate Scotland wants to know the views of people in a certain area, the Forum may be asked if any members can contribute or help. All aspects of the Forum should reflect best practice in terms of inclusion and CYP participation. They should also reflect Crown Estate Scotland engagement principles (clarity, transparency and evidence-based; inclusive, and responsive). Forum members will be volunteers and expenses can be reimbursed.

Options: option to extend for up to 2 X 12 Months at the discretion of Crown Estate Scotland and subject to satisfactory performance, available funding and strategic fit with the priorities of Crown Estate Scotland
