### Lot Information

Lot 1

Borders Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (ADP) is a partnership of agencies and services involved with drugs and alcohol. It provides strategic direction to reduce the impact of problematic alcohol and drug use. The ADP intends to procure a provider to be a key part of Borders recovery orientated system of care and as such to work in partnership with other alcohol and drugs services and wider partners. The ADP works towards the following outcomes: - People at most risk are accessing treatment and recovery - People receive high quality treatment and recovery services (joint service with NHS Borders) - Fewer people develop problem drug use - Risk is reduced for people who take harmful drugs - All needs are addressed through joined up, person centred services The service will help deliver on those outcomes by offering a range of person centred interventions including: - harm reduction (e.g. injecting equipment provision (IEP)(fixed site and mobile); BBV testing, take home naloxone provision) - assertive engagement for those facing barriers to access and/or retention in treatment - alcohol and drug treatments as per DAISy (Structured Preparatory Intervention Structured Psychosocial Intervention Structured Day Programmes Other Structured Intervention - support through and after care for clients accessing residential rehab - adult family support - post treatment/recovery opportunities (e.g. group work; activities; employability) The service will also influence the wider system by: - leading locally on developing lived experience involvement with the ADP and other local systems - building capacity of key partners in understanding the needs and barriers faced by people with problematic alcohol and drugs use Anticipated Service Provision: The anticipated service will be available Monday-Friday during usual office hours and also for specific evening and weekend activities. The service will provide daily drop-in hours for access to unscheduled support and IEP. The service will be closed on Christmas and New Year public holidays. The initial term of the contract is expected to be for three years with an option to extend for at least a further 2 years..
