## Summary

West Lothian Council is currently seeking providers for the "Short Breaks - Respite at Home and in a Community Setting Framework," which is part of the services industry. This tender is taking place in Livingston, UK, and is in the procurement stage of planning as it anticipates the submission of proposals until 18 January 2022. The total value of the framework contract is estimated at £860,000, with the possibility of extending it for an additional 24 months. This procurement will be conducted under an open procedure and will incorporate the provisions of the Light Touch Regime.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses that specialise in health and social care services, particularly those capable of providing respite care in both home and community settings. Companies with experience in supporting caregivers and enabling individuals with care needs to maintain their independence will find the flexible framework especially suitable. Furthermore, this is a chance for new providers to enter the market, as the framework will be reopened annually at West Lothian Council's discretion to allow additional businesses to join, fostering growth and competitive opportunities in the sector.
