## Summary

The University of Strathclyde, located in Glasgow, UK, recently completed the procurement process titled "The Supply and Delivery of a Large Industrial Robot" as part of the National Manufacturing Institute of Scotland (NMIS) initiative. This contract was awarded to KUKA Robotics UK Ltd following an open procurement method, which allows any qualified supplier to submit bids. The contract, valued at £67,579, was signed on 4th February 2022, after a tender period where the submission deadline was 12th January 2022. The delivery location for the robot is the Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC).

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth, particularly for SMEs specialising in industrial automation and robotics. Businesses with experience in delivering high-capacity robotic solutions, particularly those capable of meeting stringent specifications such as a payload of up to 150 kg and IP65 ratings, would be well-suited to compete for similar contracts in the future. With the ongoing expansion of the industrial automation sector, suppliers that can demonstrate relevant experience and solid financial standing will find themselves well-positioned in this competitive marketplace.

## Notice
