## Summary

The recent procurement process involved the awarding of a contract by Education Scotland for the project titled "Award of Trauma based learning within Cyber Resilience and Internet Security (CRiS) - online resource". The initiative falls under the services sector and is based in Livingston, Scotland. The tender period commenced on 21 January 2022 and concluded on 15 May 2022. The contract was awarded on 20 January 2022, with a total value of £9,500, where Decode Cyber Solutions Ltd was selected as the successful supplier after receiving one bid.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in online resource development and cyber resilience training. Companies that provide services related to cyber security, mental health support, and educational resource design would be particularly well-suited to compete for future projects within this domain. By leveraging expertise in trauma-informed care and online learning, businesses can help support parents in guiding young people through the challenges posed by cyber incidents, thus promoting both community welfare and their own growth.

## Notice

Education Scotland have identified that the majority of parents and carers resources are just general awareness raising. They encourage parents and carers to talk to the child/young person about issues they may face online, but they do not inform parents and carers on how to support young people recover from a cyber-incident. Stats provided from Internet Watch Foundation indicate that 11 to 13 year olds were the most seen age group engaging in the sending of self-generated images which makes them more likely to be involved in a cyber-incident. That is why it is important to support them in the recovery process which last longer than just changing your password.Through chats with people who have had experienced cyber-incidents they talked about how it still impacts their mental health. This led Education Scotland to investigate the link between Cyber Security and trauma. Education Scotland then identified a gap in current support offered to parents.Education Scotland want to create a cyber-first aid box that give parents strategies to support young people recover form a cyber-incident. This resource should be online to allow parents access to it 24 hours a day
