## Summary

Inverclyde Council, located in Greenock, has recently completed a public procurement process for a "Framework for Counselling Services." This open tender aimed at providing counselling services as needed based on referrals from the Council, particularly in response to attendance management programs or arising from traumatic incidents. The procurement method was an open procedure, and the contract was awarded on 24th February 2022, with a total value of £64,500. The contract is expected to remain active until 29th February 2024, subject to renewal depending on budget availability and supplier performance.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the counselling and mental health services industry, particularly for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with relevant experience and qualifications in counselling. Companies with a background in workplace counselling, trauma response, and experience in managing sensitive cases will be well-suited to compete. Bidders need to demonstrate compliance with specific insurance and quality management standards, making this an excellent opportunity for established counselling practices looking to expand their public sector client base.
