## Summary

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is conducting a procurement process for "GP IT Systems," catering to patient administration and clinical applications for 219 practices in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board area. This tender is part of a limited procurement method and has been awarded without prior publication of a call for competition, with the contract signed on 6th January 2022 for a total value of £2,850,000. The location of service delivery primarily covers the regions within Greater Glasgow and Clyde, specifically regions UKM81, UKM82, and UKM83.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare IT systems and associated services, particularly those capable of providing continuous support and transitioning services effectively. With the substantial modification of the contract allowing a 24-month extension for essential services, firms with expertise in clinical application development, patient management systems, and experience collaborating with public sector health organisations, are well-positioned to compete and potentially expand their business operations in the health sector.
