The Call Off Contract under the DPS is awarded via Mini-Competition: Lot 1 - Treatment of Co-mingled Mixed Recyclate The Mini Competition contained two geographical sub-lots as detailed below to ensure that the travelling distances and times to/from the reprocessors' facilities are maintained to a minimum. Lot 1 - Treatment of Co-mingled Mixed Recyclate 1.1 - Call Off Contract for Container Mix (North Area) 1.2 - Call Off Contract for Container Mix (South Area) The Council reserved the right to appoint one or more contractors under each Mini Competition based on each geographical sub-lot. The contract will run for a period of three years from 01 April 2022 - 30 September 2023 with the option to extend for a further period of up to 18 months.

The Council have identified the Scotland Excel Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Treatment and Disposal of Recyclable and Residual Waste (no. 27/17)where a contract is awarded via Mini Competition. The Mini Competition contained two geographical sub-lots as detailed below to ensure that the travelling distances and times to/from the reprocessors' facilities are maintained to a minimum and also ensuring the resources, i.e. vehicles and manpower, are maximised, therefore achieving cost effectiveness for the Council at all times.
