## Summary

The public procurement contract titled "Design, Supply, and Installation of Fire Doors - Towers" was awarded by South Lanarkshire Council, located in Hamilton, UK. This initiative falls within the general public services and housing industry, addressing fire safety regulations in residential tower blocks. The procurement process, which utilised a selective method and followed a restricted procedure, has reached the Award stage. The contract was signed on 21 December 2021, with an estimated value of approximately £8,406,000. The fire doors must comply with current safety legislation and are essential for ensuring the safety of tenants' homes.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in fire safety products and installation. Companies that possess the relevant certification for the manufacture and fitting of FD60 Timber fire doors—especially those that can supply bespoke door sets—will find themselves well-suited to compete. The contract's focus on compliance with fire regulations, following the Grenfell disaster, underscores the critical need for quality and certified solutions in the industry. Businesses that can demonstrate proven expertise in fire safety solutions are encouraged to pursue similar opportunities within this framework established by South Lanarkshire Council.
