## Summary

NHS Highland is inviting tenders for the "Website Development and Design" project, aimed at revamping its long-outdated website, which has been in use for over a decade. This procurement is classified under the health industry and is being conducted in Inverness, UK. The tender is currently in the active stage, with a submission deadline set for 21 February 2022, 12:00 PM. The total estimated value for the project is £100,000, with an open procurement method being employed for this process, which is part of a Mini Competition under the Digital and Technology Services Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in digital technology and web development, especially those with experience in redesigning and updating outdated systems. Companies capable of delivering user-centric design, security improvements, and technical architecture updates would be particularly well-suited to participate. The contract period extends for 720 days, providing ample time for businesses to showcase their capabilities and provide necessary maintenance and ongoing service, making this an appealing prospect for those looking to expand their offerings in the public sector.

## Notice

The NHS Highland website has existed in its current form for over a decade. It has long been viewed by the organisation as offering an outdated experience for service users, staff, and stakeholders; with knock-on effects for services and how NHS Highland is perceived.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The NHS Highland website has existed in its current form for over a decade. It has long been viewed by the organisation as offering an outdated experience for service users, staff, and stakeholders; with knock-on effects for services and how NHS Highland is perceived. Importantly, the technical architecture of NHS Highland's current website is now obsolete. Microsoft's SharePoint 2007 platform (on which the website is hosted) was declared an unsupported 'end of life product' in 2017; rendering key search and analytics features inoperable, the website largely un-editable by staff, and its security compromised. Redeveloping the NHS Highland website cannot be deferred any longer.. The tender is part of a Mini Competition calling off from the Digital and Technology Services DPS - Lot 1 - Digital Technology Projects

Renewal: The Contract shall be from 22/03/2022 to 21/12/2022 for the initial three phase approach as outlined within this document, with the option to extend for up to a further 3 months. In addition, the contract may be subject to a limited further extension for a period of up to 12 months to cover any required ongoing service and maintenance.
