### Lot Information

Lot 1

Founded by the University of Strathclyde, Scottish Power Energy Networks and SSE Power Distribution, with support from Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish Funding Council, the Power Networks Demonstration Centre (PNDC), recently secured funding from the Transport Scotland fund to be spent on equipment which enhances PNDC's capability in the aerospace, marine and transport sectors. The equipment will be additional to the current infrastructure at PNDC, and must be connected to/utilise the current infrastructure to provide the enhanced capability. The requirement detailed in the procurement documents relates to a load bank. To increase capacity by 1MVA (resistive) such that the existing load banks (PNDC has 8 existing load banks) and a new 1MW unit can be operated either individually or as a single 1.6MVA system using the existing controllers & communications equipment (handheld and PC based). A 1MW resistive load bank that can seamlessly integrate into the existing system is required. The load bank once delivered shall be installed approximately three months after delivery by PNDC's electrical contractor. The load bank supplier shall commission the unit on site at a mutually agreed date.

Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to request additional deliveries by the Successful Tenderer, either intended as partial replacement of suppliers or installations or as extensions of existing supplies and installations. The Contracting Authority may at it's sole discretion exercise this option.
