## Summary

The procurement process involves the Scottish Government, which has initiated a tender titled "Award of Scottish Government - Interim Pro Managers Framework - Comms Manager." This tender falls within the services industry category and is located in Scotland. The procurement is currently in the Award stage, with bidding having concluded on 30th June 2022. The contract was signed on 5th April 2022, with a total value of £32,340. The tender relates to the establishment of the Scottish veterinary service, aiming to enhance animal health and food safety across both public and private sectors.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in public relations, communications strategy, and stakeholder engagement. Companies with expertise in IT services related to consulting and software development may also find a competitive edge in fulfilling the requirements of this project. Firms that have a track record of supporting government initiatives or working within the veterinary and animal health sectors could be particularly well-suited to contribute to the goals of the Scottish veterinary service programme.

## Notice

This is an exciting time to join the team supporting the SVS Programme. The 2021 SNP Manifesto contained a commitment to "create a new Scottish veterinary service (SVS) to ensure that we have enough people with the right qualifications in veterinary services, animal health and food safety to meet all our needs across public and private sector for land and marine based animal health issues". This is now a Programme for Government commitment for 2021-22.This will mean that we will be working with both external and internal stakeholders to agree the high level changes that will need to be communicated across the programme. The SVS Programme is committed to taking a user centred approach to service design, and engagement with staff, users and stakeholders is at the heart of this. The successful applicant will lead in the creation of the internal and external Communication. The person will also be responsible for creating the Communication & Engagement Strategy, and roadmap to achieving our targets/commitments. In doing this, the successful applicant will work with communications and engagement colleagues across Scottish Government and other public bodies, and we expect that the team will be expanded to support the delivery of the Strategy.
