This is a significant opportunity for an interested party to hold a General Medical Services Contract for an established registered population of 5808, with 22% of that population over 65 years old. The area covered by the practice is rural and extensive including the communities of Alford, Sauchen, Monymusk, Keig, Lumsden, Kildrummy, Glenkindie, Muir of Fowlis and their surrounding areas. There is very limited cross over with any other practice. A map of the Practice boundary is attached as Appendix A (please see attached Document). The detailed contractual requirements will be reflective of The National Health Services (General Medical Services Contracts) (Scotland) Act 2004, as amended. The successful contractor will be expected to deliver the full range of core general medical, additional, and enhanced services, currently offered. Innovative approaches which support long term service sustainability in the area will be considered favourably.
