Businesses able to demonstrate experience in managing municipal waste facilities will have a competitive advantage. ## Notice The purpose of this contract is to secure the services of a contractor to deliver the management and operation of five named Household Recycling Centres, at Larkhall, Strathaven, East Kilbride, Blantyre and Rutherglen to cover the period from award until February 2028, with the Council having the option to extend the contract until February 2033. ### Lot Information Lot 1 The purpose of this contract is to secure the services of a contractor to deliver the management and operation of five named Household Recycling Centres, at Larkhall, Strathaven, East Kilbride, Blantyre and Rutherglen to cover the period from award until February 2028, with the Council having the option to extend the contract until February 2033. In addition to the aforementioned sites, the Council owns and operates a sixth Household Recycling Centre located at Castlehill Industrial Estate, Carluke, ML8 5UF, with an adjoining Waste Transfer facility. The new contract will contain provisions which will give the Council the option to include the management and operation of Carluke HWRC within the Contract at any point during the contact duration, subject to internal approval, availability of funding and agreement with the Contractor through the Change Control Procedure contained in the Contract.
