## Summary

East Lothian Council is seeking applications for a grant opportunity titled "Funding to Develop a Community Dementia Project." This initiative falls under the public services sector and is located in Musselburgh, East Lothian. The procurement is currently in the Tender stage, with a submission deadline of 29 April 2022. The total funding available is £180,000 over a period of two years, aimed at establishing the first Dementia Meeting Centre in East Lothian. The project objectives include operating the centre within an existing community facility, with the aim of becoming operational by late summer 2022.

This tender presents significant opportunities for organisations with expertise in dementia care and community services, particularly for those that can collaborate with various partners and access additional funding. Businesses that specialise in health and social care, community engagement, and support services for individuals with dementia and their caregivers would be particularly well-suited to compete for this grant. The initiative not only aims to enhance support for affected individuals but also involves developing a model that could benefit similar initiatives across East Lothian.
