The overall aim of the contract is provide robust and timely analysis and reporting on the responses to the consultation, to inform policy development on designation and management measures for a permanent MPA.Currently there is an urgently designated MPA located within the Inner Sound of Skye by Red Rocks and Longay. Red Rocks and Longay MPA was urgently designated in March 2021, following discovery of a nationally important flapper skate nursery area at the site.
