## Summary

The Scottish Government is actively conducting a procurement process titled "External Analysis to Scotland's circular economy consultation on proposals for legislation," focusing on the services sector within the health and general public services industries. The procurement, initiated as a tender, follows an open procedure and is based in Glasgow, UK. The tender period commenced on 30th May 2022 and concluded on 22nd August 2022. The contract was awarded on 7th July 2022 to Ricardo-AEA for a total value of £23,226, with the contract period running until 23rd September 2022.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that specialise in environmental consultancy and analysis, particularly those with expertise in circular economy practices. Companies that provide innovative solutions to waste reduction, recycling processes, and sustainable resource management will find this procurement particularly relevant. Engaging with this kind of public sector contract can enhance business visibility, foster partnerships within the industry, and contribute to the broader goal of Scotland's transition towards sustainable practices.
