This work will be used to inform the development of an Orkney wide Shoreline Management Plan which will be used to identify actions to be delivered under the next cycle of the Local Flood Risk Management Plan. It is anticipated that approx. 80% of the entire Orkney coastline will require to be surveyed (or approx. 820 sq.km) and that 10-15% of this will be blue/green LiDAR to obtain near-shore bathymetric data in areas most vulnerable.
