## Summary

The Aberdeen City Council, in collaboration with NHS Grampian, is in the planning stage for the procurement of drug and alcohol services within Aberdeen City, titled "Future provision for drugs and alcohol services within Aberdeen City." Planned for a contract value of approximately £1,590,000, this initiative signifies a comprehensive community-based service model aimed at enhancing access to treatment and recovery support. Key aspects of this procurement include a request for notifications of interest, with an emphasis on evidence-based services provided by qualified staff. The expected engagement begins with a market test on 6 February 2023.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in community health services, particularly those with experience in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, support coaching, and multi-disciplinary interventions. Service providers capable of offering practical assistance, psychological support, and harm reduction initiatives, as well as those with expertise in operating needle exchange programmes, will find this an ideal competition landscape. Additionally, organisations focused on integrating care pathways and promoting recovery pathways to employment will be well-positioned to secure contracts that foster community health improvements.
