## Notice

CivTech is a programme run by the Scottish Government's Digital Directorate. Its mission is to harness the power of new technologies to drive daring and innovation in the public sector. It brings public sector expertise and private sector creativity together to solve real problems, develop new products, and deliver better, faster and easier services for everyone. Central to the approach is co-production with the citizen and other stakeholders.CivTech's approach is already helping transform public sector engagement with tech and innovation, delivering significant benefits to public services, and producing genuine uplifts for the Scottish economy. And along the way, it's making people's lives better. At the heart of CivTech is a three week Exploration Stage and a 15 week Accelerator in which participating teams develop their MVP [Minimum Viable Product], and also benefit from a comprehensive business growth workshop system. This business growth workshop system is designed to drive the teams' understanding of what it takes to run a truly great business. It covers both tech and business development areas, and can be described as a 'Business 360', or a 'Business 101 plus'.Importantly -* Workshops are delivered by highly successful people who are domain experts, and have genuine, real-world experience in the area covered by the workshop. In other words, they are people who have 'been there, done it... and continue to do so';* Workshops need to take into account, and accommodate, the range of experience likely to be in the room. For example, all six previous CivTech Accelerators have had well-established SMEs and completely new companies in the cohort - with a matching a range of knowledge, skills and experience;* A narrative runs through the overall workshop system, in which each workshop builds on those that went before, and prepares the ground for those to follow. An understanding of the overall system, and a commitment to deliver within that narrative [and by extension, on certain dates] is vital.More information can be found at https://www.civtech.scotPlease read the CivTech Design Sprint Workshops - Specification & Services Levels Document for more information.
