## Summary

The procurement process initiated by Scotland Excel aims to develop a national approach for commissioning alcohol and drug residential rehabilitation services in Scotland. This process is currently in the planning stage and includes a Prior Information Notice (PIN) titled "Residential Rehabilitation (Alcohol and Drugs) - national commissioning." Interested parties, including current and potential providers, are encouraged to participate in market research to inform future commissioning activities. The deadline for responses to the questionnaire regarding this research is set for 5 August 2022, and the engagement is part of a broader strategy to improve referral and procurement mechanisms for health and wellbeing services across the UK.

This tender creates opportunities for businesses involved in health and social care services, particularly those specialising in rehabilitation programmes for alcohol and drug dependencies. Companies offering innovative solutions and quality care in rehabilitation could greatly benefit from engaging in this planning process, as their insights will play a critical role in shaping future procurement strategies. The research will explore the current landscape of service provision and stimulate discussions on potential collaborations, positioning keen providers well for forthcoming tenders in this sector.
