## Summary

The University of the Highlands and Islands, located in Inverness, UK, has awarded a contract for the provision of a Research Collaboration Project to investigate highly antimicrobial inorganic coatings for infection control. The project falls under the Education industry category. The University held the tender, and the procurement stage was in the award phase. The project was detailed to evaluate technologies for antimicrobial coatings primarily for healthcare products. The key date for this procurement process was 14th September 2022.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses involved in research collaborations and the production of antimicrobial coatings. Companies specialising in inorganic coating technologies, particularly in healthcare applications like surgical instruments and implants, would be suitable competitors for this project. With the procurement method being an open procedure, businesses with capabilities in antimicrobial coatings technologies can engage with the University of the Highlands and Islands to potentially grow their business through this research collaboration opportunity.

## Notice
