### Procurement Information

ESRI is the only supplier capable of providing the full GIS package that NAC use. Cost to change solution and/or supplier would be prohibitive: " ESRI solution is implemented across various systems and used by multiple NAC Services. " The NAC Open Data Portal which holds over 100 datasets is part of ArcGIS Online and the datasets sit on the ArcGIS Corporate Geodatabase. " There are no other suppliers which provide the fully integrated range of GIS products which ESRI provide. " NAC have used the Esri ArcGIS platform the implement new ways of working and processes right across the Council including Procurement, Roads, Streetscene and Waste. These could not easily be replaced with a product from another supplier. " Moving to another supplier/solution would require retraining of 85+ desktop users. " There would be significant capital costs for software and consultancy for implementing a new replacement supplier/solution, outweighing any potential savings that could be made from any such change.
