Lot 1

MMIC run several large-scale projects referred to as "grand challenges" (GCs). These are typically collaborations between academia, industry, government sponsors and service providers. They also have a portfolio of potential new GCs, some of which are an extension to existing GCs and some of which are in new areas. Services are specifically requested to support Technical and Business Development activities required to scope out and initiate new GCs in the areas of continuous material property manipulation, forced material transfer, digital twins and online analysis for continuous and mini-batch direct compression (C&MBDC). CPI are looking to employ technical and business development consultant to provide expert contribution to GC1 during the period of August 2022-August 2024 on a contract basis. Services are anticipated to be required 1 day per week charged at a daily rate. It is anticipated that the consultancy could be both on site and off site at the consultant's place of work. Tasks required as part of this service are as follows: 1. Generate ideas and develop technical scopes for new projects. 2. Identify relevant key stakeholders in companies who are potential collaborators. 3. Hold technical and business development discussions with potential collaborators to solicit interest. 4. Refine technical scopes and business proposals based on feedback from collaborators and ensure regulatory acceptance of concepts 5. Gain commitment from collaborators to initiate a project 6. Negotiate collaboration agreements to initiate a project
