This service is required until the young person is at least 16 and possibly, if they request it until aged 18. ### Procurement Information This procurement utilises section 12 of the Procurement Reform Act and follows the Guidance on the Procurement of Care and Support Services (Best Practice) 2016 - section 8.12.and is made on the basis of: The requirement addresses a need in service provision which cannot be met internally in the short term; There are no pre-existing contracts which can meet the requirement locally; Aggregated spend will be above the regulated threshold (50GBP) but beneath the LTR threshold for Social and Other Specific Services (currently 663,540GBP); and The current provider is well established and provided previous fostering services to a high standard and would be able to provide continuity of care which is essential for this young person. Award of the contract is made following consideration of the following selection criteria: Governance - including due diligence checks & any regulatory requirements; Mandatory Exclusions - satisfactory completion of an SPD by the provider (section 9.40 of the Best Practice guidance); Specification - the ability to fulfil the requirements of the specification for the service - including any identified industry standards and KPI's; Best Value - arrangements will represent an appropriate balance between quality and cost of services.
