Lot 1

The purpose of this project is to procure consultancy services to produce the Annan Town Centre Feasibility and Outline Design Project. This project will link Annan, Eastriggs, Gretna and Powfoot through connecting existing cycle paths. It has been identified that the National Route 7 for Cyclist is in a poor condition and with the increase traffic on the road is now become unsafe for cyclist. Dumfries and Galloway Council has several core paths in the area which are used for walking and cycling. By connecting these core paths with new paths and upgrading some of the existing paths this will allow safer travel for everyday journeys. Travelling for the Villages in the Towns for work, school, shopping, health care facilities, visiting.
