The Comhairle's aspiration is to provide a facility with a sports hall equivalent to four badminton courts plus ancillary accommodation and storage for a building footprint size totalling approximately 700m2. The outline design is based on a proprietary tensile membrane structure (TMS) comprising a metal frame with an insulated exterior fabric envelope. The Comhairle is seeking to gauge market interest in delivering a product that meets the following requirements: - A building with an insulated envelope that is fully compliant with Building Regulations (Scottish Technical Standards) - A building designed to relevant British Standards including structure and wind loading appropriate for location - A TMS product warranty with a minimum guarantee, 40 years on structure, and, 25 years on the external envelope - Supply and delivery to the site. The terms can be supply and deliver only and/or supply, deliver and erect. Groundworks, foundations and internal fit-out will be carried out by a works contractor under separate contract. The deadline for responses is: 2.00pm on Monday 7th NOVEMBER 2022 The Comhairle will use any responses to inform its procurement strategy.
