### Procurement Information

The National IST pilot ran for four years from August 2018 to August 2022. Due to the success of the pilot scheme an administration team was recruited and commenced in December 2022 within CSMEN to further develop the IST Programme, which has now been renamed the Core Surgical Training (CST) Simulation Programme. The administration team are developing a simulation course catalogue and are undertaking a competitive tendering process for future CST simulation training courses. In order to maintain continuity and ensure equality of access for trainees across Scotland following the end of the IST pilot scheme NES are direct awarding a contract to cover the August 2022 - August 2023 training year.
