### Procurement Information

The Local Buses Provision 22/23 contracts were awarded in May 2022 where the council has obliged to provide operators with the council's buses for the provision for bus service. The start date for these contracts is 8th August 2022. As one bus for one of the routes is no longer operational, the council had an urgent requirement to procure it - a 28-34-seat bus. Due to the long lead times for the new buses (based on the last tender exercises and market research the lead times for new buses are at minimum 6 months), the council had to procure second-hand buses, which are not available on any of the external procurement frameworks. The Council has published a Prior Information Notice on the Public Contracts Scotland portal on 12/07/2022 with 5 companies registered their interest. Following further capacity assessment with these suppliers, only one supplier confirmed that they can provide
