The contractor will be required to carry out qualitative research to understand the impacts of the settlement schemes on present-day Gypsy/Traveller communities in Scotland and to facilitate the sharing of lived experiences ### Lot Information Lot 1 This contract will have two key aims: 1.To understand the longer-term impacts of the settlement schemes on Scotland's present-day Gypsy/Traveller communities. 2.To allow the Gypsy/Traveller communities in Scotland an opportunity to share their lived experiences of the settlement schemes in a space and forum supported and facilitated by the Scottish Government. This could involve the sharing of experiences or stories. Some contributors may wish to share copies of photographs, paintings, letters and diaries to further illustrate their accounts. To meet the aims set out above, a qualitative approach should be taken. It is envisaged that the research will primarily involve in-person in-depth interviews, either with individuals or with family/friend groups. Focus groups may also be appropriate.
