## Summary

The Highland Council in collaboration with Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils is leading a tender process for the procurement of an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. The process is currently in the planning stage and seeks expressions of interest to explore potential delivery options to establish an inclusive EV charging network across the region. The tender, titled "Alternative Delivery Models - EV Charging Infrastructure", has an estimated value of 80 million GBP and is open for participation until 31st May 2023.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in services related to electric vehicle infrastructure development. Companies with experience in sustainable energy solutions, construction, and infrastructure development are well-suited to compete in this tender. The collaborative nature of the project involving multiple councils and public entities signals a substantial market potential for businesses in the electric vehicle charging sector looking to expand their operations in the Highland, Aberdeenshire, and Aberdeen City Council areas.

Highland Council, Aberdeenshire Council and Aberdeen City Council intend to enter a joint venture arrangement or consortium opportunity with an investment and delivery partner(s) to bring forward the provision of EV Charging Infrastructure across the region but also to realise the commercial opportunity that this approach could provide to the Council partners. Alternative Delivery Models - EV Charging Infrastructure outline

This PIN is intended to allow interested parties, with appropriate experience, to present a range of proposal(s) and provide information to the consortium so that it can take forward the most realistic submission(s), that meets our indicative key criteria.. It is likely that any future procurement exercise will be divided into Lots; however, this is still under consideration and recommendations from potential partners on how to address this is welcomed.
