Lot 1

Following the publication of 'Transforming Places Together' the Digital Strategy for Planning in November 2020 and the launch of the programme for delivery in March 2021, the Scottish Government is now currently underway delivering a digital transformation of the Scottish planning system. Following the decision to replace existing siloed systems with a shared cloud-based platform that hosts Digital Planning and Building Standards (DPBS) services, a Test Strategy is required that provides guidance on how to achieve certain test objectives. The aims of this are: 1. To ensure high quality service delivery through the application of consistent governance and quality standards; and 2. To ensure that partners and suppliers are clear on the responsibilities and expectations regarding the delivery of quality goods. The Test Strategy is intended to be a single point of reference for how service delivery workstreams should perform test development, facilitating creation of test plans, test scripts and test data. The topics the Test Strategy will cover are: - Scope and test objectives, - Automation, - Entry and Exit Conditions, - Methodologies, - Roles and Responsibilities, - Release Control & Defect Management, - Metrics and Reporting, and - Risk Mitigation..
